Let’s face it, food is one of the most enduring pleasures in life. If the aim of this site is to understand how diet promotes long life, it will never be at the expense of its enjoyment.
The historical record
If you look at the historical record of nutrition guidelines, the experts seem to be getting it wrong quite often, but changes to public policy are rather slow. Only recently we have made discoveries that dietary cholesterol is not in fact the cause of heart disease, yet governments around the world are still passing food labeling laws that brand cholesterol as the enemy.
Who we are
We are a team of nutrition enthusiasts who stumbled upon an industry ripe for disruption. We want to provide the missing link between the scientific community and the general public, including nutritionists who are entrusted with prescribing diets for many confused clients. It took us years to compile all the research and apply some of the techniques to build flexible diets that work.
Why we are doing this
We want to provide a public record of the research we compile in relation to longevity and the food we eat.
We want to start a discussion to better our understanding of nutrition and health, and if need be, to change our conclusions about what promotes longevity.
